US News & World Report honors Decatur, Athens, Falkville schools

Decatur, Athens and Falkville are three of 54 Alabama high schools ranked among America’s best.
U.S. News & World Report published its second annual list of “America’s Best High Schools” this week. “America’s Best High Schools” recognizes three categories of distinction: gold, silver and bronze. Decatur, Athens and Falkville are bronze award winners...Loveless Magnet High School of Montgomery County won a gold medal and was ranked as the 25th best high school in the nation. Mountain Brook and Vestavia Hills high schools, and Virgil Grissom High School in Huntsville earned silver medals.

I have nothing against Decatur or Athens but there are much better schools in the state. Of course, US News is kind of known for faulty ratings and rankings.
