On the main highway from Guntersville to Scottsboro is a place called the Blue Heron RV Resort, they sell RV sites but also rent them out. Of course Guntersville State Park has a huge campground too.

The cold winter here got me thinking... how well insulated are those RVs? The weather here gets down to the 'teens, it probably wouldn't be much fun sleeping in a RV.

There is a RV park on Hwy 69 from Arab to Guntersville before you get to G'ville. Sorry I don't remember the name but it is before you get into G'ville.

I saw a new one last night in Athens. It's right where I-65 exits onto U.S. 31. Don't know the name.

Looking for exactly same thing in April. Here's what I have found in our own travels and research:
Winding roads up to the state park outside Guntersville, worth it if you are staying more than one night, but not a quick stopover. Beyond that there is Little Mountain Marina. These two based on info from friend.
In Athens we have stayed at the new park at the north end. Clean, nice, barren from being new. Horses over the fence, etc. Very convenient though, not far down the road is grocery shopping, etc.
Personal favorite is just south of Athens on 31 near Tanner. Swan Creek is a mobile home park with five RV temporary spaces and a loop of RV spaces for longer periods. Wifi, cable, great laundry facility, wonderful people, not expensive, and the RV spots are separate from the mobile homes. Clean and well kept, and a large underground storm shelter.
I would also be interested in the one mentioned between Arab and Guntersville, as we plan to take our motorhome that way to look around for our "garden spot with house". If you find a good one, please report back and share it! Thanks
