Local spots please...the nooks and crannies
OK, I've been here a few months and still looking for the nook and crannie things to do and places to go like antique stores, flea markets, local diners, mom & pops, local fishing spots. Just found out about the quarry. Things like that. Huntsville only. And, please, for now, no things like "go to walmart". Any category will do.

I know you said H'ville only, but, for antiques go north on 431 to Fayetteville. Lots of antique stores there also Sir's fabrics and less than 30 minutes east is jack Daniels Distillery and Lynchburg.
Also, there used to be some nice shops in old/down town Madison.
