You keep saying that but its totally untrue most people that live in Huntsville have been out of Huntsville and many other places. I've found the opposite to be true when I meet Alabama natives from the rest of the state a lot of them have hardly been anywhere further than Atlanta and other places in the South. Besides I believe the poster Kell691 is actually from your black belt region of Alabama so you can't put the blame for comparing Huntsville to Atlanta on Huntsville so you just need to claim him :-)

Of course you know I meant arcades with vending machines....

From what I hear about the few joints that do still take dollar bills, that won't be any draw to the out-of-towners...

Meow.

Huntsville IN NO WAY reminds me of Atlanta.

Why? Because they use local talents?

My daughter does payroll for a large employer in the arsenal. She has been dealing with the transfer of the BRAC employees that are getting ready to come to the Huntsville area late next year and 2010, so for the next two years you will be seeing a large jump in the population, so much that I feel Huntsville will have some growing pains!

PS Ive been buying land in anticipation of the influx of people which causes property inflation.

I think that the coming and the growth of jobs will keep Huntsville from losing population anytime soon, if it will loose population at all.

Did another 3,000 people move in this year?

Or maybe less?

According to the US Census Bureau, the Hunstville area gained more than 9,000 people. Not sure how many people Huntsville gained.

The Huntsville Area won't be losing population anytime soon. For obvious reasons.

You guys are too funny on this forum love you Huntsvillians ! Any way I`m proud of the growth in Huntsville and hope it will continue to grow moderatly not like Atlanta growth that is crazy growth to me. Huntsville will never grow like Atlanta because of one thing Huntsville growth is due to jobs Atlanta`s growth is do to jobs as well but more so to entertainment reasons and over rated hype !!

When Brac slows down huntsville will not lose population it offers what most of the people who are moving there now are attrcted to. Such as a family suburban type of town that is safe and job security. Though Huntsville is a city it still has a very strong suburabn feel to it and the transplants that are there are not moving there for Atlanta hype more for the Huntsville culture.

I do believe that once BRAC slows down Huntsville will not experince the growth it is experiencing now but it will not lose it`s population either.

What can Huntsville get and/or attract that will keep its growth growing better than BRAC's reign?
