As for commute to Huntsville, it would depend greatly on the time of day you leave. If you leave at rush hour, it will take you much longer than if you leave a bit before it or after it! Max, in my experience, would be 40 minutes, 20 minutes is more standard.

Does 72 seem like it's limited access from Athens to Huntsville?

I have heard to stay away from Tremont. There are a LOT of subdivisions that I haven't paid any attention to by name off of Pepper Road...some you can see have tankless waterheaters, which is a plus. Again, no recommendations, but there are just tons of houses and subdivisions going in. I thought that the Meres might be good, but we did have a discussion that the prices (as stated) are too high for the product. I guess it depends on what KIND of subdivision you are looking for. I looked at a lot and couldn't picture any of them working for what I was looking for. I guess I am not a subdivision type of person...at least NEW subdivisions. I like the neighborhood feel of an old, established area near downtown (where I can walk to stuff).
Legacy is a subsiderary of EMW construction who built the homes.(Te E in EMW stands for Elmore)

There are several Elmores, I'll bet that is Troy, not Roger, who has bought several parcels of land for investment. I don't know for sure, though.

The "E" In EMW does not stand for Elmore. It stands for ELROD. The EMW is Glen Elrod, John Martin, And Gray Winn.

Has Athens thought about annexing East Limestone? If it has, would be this benefit the city and the East Limestone residents?

That is the truth, two teachers together cannot buy a decent house in Florida. It is sad how I have been out priced in my home state.
Ha, I don't think this is next to the thread it was "supposed" to reference! They were talking about comparative house prices!
