Ya, but...What happens if they change the prevailing wind direction? Then the planes will all be taking off north most of the time.

Rumor has it they'll change the wind direction when Huntsville's population exceeds Alabama's.

Then you'll get used to shout "WHAT ??? !!! ???" a lot

In that case, it is a mathematically predictable event !!!

Personally, I'd watch which way do the birds fly because then I'll know the plane will take off on a opposite direction. We all know how pilots have a natural fear of birds!

Stay away from County Line Road!!! Tons of plane traffic. Cambridge has a home sinking into the ground and I heard a pool is sinking in the ground across from Cambridge. It is also very flat and tornados tend to start around the airport and county line. If you decide to move to that location get a tornado shelter and sinkhole insurance! We love the area north of Madison Blvd and South of 72 between Hughes Rd and Slaugther Road. Very centrally located and close to everything. Not much air traffic either. It will be difficult to find a home in Highland lakes for under $450,000. Check valleymls.com for all listings in this area.

We live off of County Line and love it. Yes, we hear the planes, but it doesn't bother us a bit. Where is the pool sinking? I've not heard that...yikes!

You can't beat Hampton Cove. Talk about quiet--if you get far enough away from the highway it is so quiet you actually hear it!

Last night it was so quiet and clear that we could hear the owls and an occasional coyote. No traffic. Love it! Not for everyone but we like it.

Last year the site agent out at Whitworth was telling all the buyers that they were going to have a pool. Someone forgot to tell Mike Friday that, because there has never been a plan for a pool.
I sold a house there in 2007, they have been very happy. But, they don't have kids and the thing they really liked about the neighborhood was that it is very quiet and not too many kids.
There is still not a pool out there... another BAIT AND SWITCH... seriously...

Oddly enough, the last tornado that touched ground in Madison came very close to the areas you talk about...

I think I have an owl in my back yard as well, but no coyotes (too dense of population) out here off County Line in Madison.
