Budgets tight; the mobile tax collectors got you. Bonus for them that you are from out of state.

Improper lane change is one of those "joke" offenses anyhow. Virginia is well known for doing similar... it is in fact illegal to make more than one lane change within a certain distance (I forget the distance).

Completely obnoxious, but it happens pretty much everywhere - when budgets become dependent on revenue from traffic fines, police become tax collectors.

Ok. I FINALLY found the code he wrote me up for. 325a-133(a)

Section 32-5a-133 Turning movements and required signals
(a) No person shall turn a vehicle or move right or left upon a roadway unless and until such movement can be made with reasonable safety nor without giving an appropriate signal in the manner hereinafter provided.

That actually sound more like what he "claims" I'm guilty of. I'm still not really sure why he checked off "improper passing". I'm not sure what that has to do with anything.

Yeah, lol. Two of my friends that I grew up with have lived in VA (chesapeake area) for a long time. They have a lot of pretty ridiculous stories. =)
