Default Decatur Developments

Alot of people are talking about Huntsville, Madison, and East Limestone areas, but what about Decatur? If you know anything that is going on in Decatur development wise, please post here.

A contradiction in terms.

According to today's Decatur Daily, a new subdivision atop Burleson Mountain will have its sewer system half-paid by the city, half by the developer. But right now it's on hold, thanks to the economy.

What new shopping center?

It has "crossings" in its name. It is anchored by Target.

It has been built (completed more than a year ago) and Target, Panera Bread, Old Navy, Hibbett Sports, Pet something, Five Guys, and some other trashy clothing places are open, along with a Fulin's asian restaurant...plenty of space for some other retail/restaurant.

On the outparcels, Bank Independent opened a couple of months ago, AT&T is finishing up their free-standing store, and Regions has started their branch.
