Alabama 53 widening scheduled for fiscal '10
Tuesday, October 06, 2009 Huntsville Times
Like many others, Scottie Barnes of Elkmont is interested in the continued widening of Alabama 53 from Huntsville to Ardmore.
"We've been hearing that they are going to widen highway 53," Barnes wrote in an e-mail. "Is it going to be in our lifetime?"
Barnes asked about the status of the next phase of widening the highway, which will be between Research Park Boulevard and Jeff Road.

I am positively impressed as to how fast the road improvements are going on North Parkway (the section at Max Luther intersection). I don't know what they're doing - I thought lane expansion - but now It looks like another overpass taking shape. They're moving dirt fast - unlike near-by Constellation, by the way.

I'm having a crazy moment, but what do HHA and NNE stand for?

HHA is Huntsville Housing Authority. Not sure what NNE stands for.
