As much as I would like one...I would like to see The Huntsville Stars have more than 30 people at a game before an amusement park is built.

Although, I think the Space and Rocket Center could benefit from having another type of thrill ride other than Space Shot.

Amusement parks need 1) a large population base from which to draw a "base" crowd. These are folks who go at least once a year, every year. Six Flags' base extends - or used to - into Alabama, Tennessee, N.C., S.C. and the rest of Georgia. Kids of a certain age who go every year, school groups that go once a year, etc.
And 2) they need enough tourist traffic to draw the profit margin.

Amusement parks are like Disney World for lawyers: full of opportunities for lawsuits. That's the reason Six Flags is in debt.

Sacrilege!
I'd say !

When I was a contractor visiting here locally, even I did an obligatory visit to the Space & Rocket Center.

Giddy up now, get on with the program!

One idea they could have is a walk-in wind tunnel for kids (of all ages) to experience what it's like to have winds over 60 mph blowing on you.

Another one is the 'zero-g' effect. Would be great thrills for the kids to experience...

Speaking of the Space & Rocket center... can someone inform the director of the center that SR-71 blackbird does NOT belong there?

It does not have rockets...

It does not go to space...

Other than that, it still is one cool airplane and gives me thrill everytime I look at it. I'd imagine Mach 3 shockwaves and all is quiet in the cockpit (because it is supersonic... you see.. when the speed of sound... oh nevermind...).

I would love to see spaced themed amusement park in Huntsville. I went to Huntsville a few years back and was a little dissappointed that there wasnt a space themed park.

An amusement park will do good in Huntsville. Since Huntsville is becoming a famous city and a city of the future, some form of amusement and entertainment should come to this brilliant city.
