It is much more difficult to find a good salon than a doctor!!! I go to Beauty Market and the one I use is pretty good. I have STRAIGHT hair and an undercut which means you can't have any mistakes. Most stylists do not like to cut straight hair like mine and it is frustrating to get a good cut. They have to be confidant and I haven't had a GREAT cut since I left Atlanta in 2001!!!

Has anyone tried Millidines on Palmer and County Line? I'm thinking about going there. I may try Dillards. I need to find a new place really soon.

Who cut your hair in the picture on your website? It looks pretty good.

I showed my wife what you wrote and she commented that $120 is not expensive, esp. when including partial highlight I said OMG, I am cutting YOUR hair at home in the future!
Interesting that several of you mention that you don't have long hair so you don't think you should pay a certain price. Just ask us guys with receeding hairline if we get a discount on our cuts

I did try Millidines. Tried 2 different stylists and wasn't happy with either. I was hoping to get the owner, but he was always booked and I was always in a hurry. A friend of mine goes there and the owner is her stylist....can't remember his name?

Prices have always been high in this area for good stylists. I used to think I paid a high price by going to a Huntsville salon, but then I talked to some women in my Sunday school class and they paid just as high a price - or higher - for their cuts and colors in Decatur.
Face it, girls - if you get somebody good, they're going to charge market price. Also, if you've got a good stylist, you aren't willing to share their name, because more customers mean higher prices! I have to book my stylist at least 6 weeks in advance. If there's a conflict with a doctor's appointment, I tell the doctor they're the one that has to adjust - it's just too hard to get in to see my stylist!
I'm also thinking that the fact that many people are cutting down on expenses mean stylists are having to bump up their prices a little as long as demand doesn't change.

That's exactly why I don't tell my husband what my haircuts and color sessions cost - he would just be too shocked! He still thinks it's outrageous that his basement barber now charges $10!

My hubby...one of those engineers who thinks he is also doctor, lawyer, accountant, mechanic, landscaper, chef, etc. etc. etc. etc. is always volunteering to do my hair.
But, you know what...one time I actually let him do a cut and put some highlights in and he did a very good job. He used aluminum foil from the kitchen and color from Target. TeeHee... Now, he jokes about going to beauty school at night and opening a home hair salon to counteract all these folks around here who only style hair from 10-5 three days a week. He figures he could make some decent money by working nights and weekends. I'm not kidding.

Or you could be like me.... I drive all the way back to Perry GA every other month to go to my regular stylist who only charges me $90 for cut, color, and foil.
