Melting Pot is OUTSTANDING! Just as everyone I have ever been to has been!

And they have an outdoor patio with fondue service...can't wait to try that on a beautiful day!

Is the restaurant on the tower in Florence still open? My hubby grew up in Killen and said it used to be The Place to go years ago. We even saw a billboard advert but it looked pretty old, it was called The Renaissance(sp?) and he said it had a beautiful view of the water.

It's still there. It's called the 360 Grille and is part of the Marriott hotel. Florence Alabama restaurant near Sheffield - 360 Grille Florence, AL
I've never been there, though, in any of its incarnations.
