Looking for a specific ingredient... (Huntsville: kitchen, dental, household)

I am a foodie and accidental chef of my household. I am trying to cook a cajun dish and looking for tasso ham. Does anybody know where can I find tasso ham in the area?

That is always a tough one outside of a few areas, you can use chorizo in a pinch or save that dish for another day and cure your own(it sounds harder than it is).

I have no idea if you will find it there, but the owner of Tim's Cajun Kitchen also runs Tim's Specialty Meats on Governor's. I've been tempted to stop in, but never have. Good luck!

Hey, djmax, I think Tim's Specialty Meats may have it. Just checked their menu and they use tasso ham for the Gumbo.
