Log cabins, riding around in the woods, climbing mountains, rocket bikes... those pictures make me think my husband is going to find Huntsville to be his personal heaven on earth.

And those are just starters! You'll be amazed what you will find within a 50 mile drive or less in any direction. My wife and I will often take a short afternoon "roadtrips". Little River Canyon, Fort Payne, Lookout Mountain, Jack Daniels Distillery, Helen Keller Birthplace, numerous natural bridges, Sewanee - University of the South, Dismals Canyon, Covered Bridges, Monteagle. I could keep on listing but Google some of these places which are at most about an hour drive. And that is a scenic hour drive on back roads, not rushing down an interstate. The drive alone is most of the pleasure along with seeing these small towns and just taking time to visit their small stores and restaurants and explore a little.

DeSoto State Park, Little River Canyon, Fort Payne, Snow Skiing at Cloudmont and Mentone all in beautiful DeKalb County, Alabama 1-888-805-4740

I couldn't believe when I saw it, but there actually is a website devoted to fashion in Huntsville.

Huntsville Fashion News Examiner

Here's a sample with photos:

I just can't believe that the NY Times has not yet picked up on that! It's just what they've been needing.

Actually the NY Times did pick up on it but its editors felt it was too much to handle so they passed on to their Paris desk so the real experts could report and comment on it.
