What's your search criteria?
Schools? Which grade? ChallengerMid+GrissomHigh are both excelent schools, but they go with either FarleyElem.-fair (score 4/10 @GreatSchools.net) or ChallengerElem.-excellent
New construction (pretty hard to find) or older?
Price range?

Anyway,

see website below with a map and price ranges
Huntsville Alabama Neighborhood/Subdivision Map Search
and also valleymls.com for filtered search criteria.

Our children are grown, so schools are no longer an issue for us. However, we do want to live in an area with good schools (for the resale down the road). We prefer new construction or 0-5 years old, preferably not a first-time homebuyer neighborhood but more of a move-up buyer neighborhood. We are part of the BRAC and will be moving to Huntsville next summer.

Have you consider the Ledges? It is a gated community with very nice views of Huntsville valley.

New construction up to 5 yr old homes in those zip codes range from $146,900 for 1,249 sq ft to $2.5 million for 10,500 sq ft. With sales & interest rates increasing, if you can handle a sizeable earnest money payment you might consider talking to builders about guarenteeing today's price for completion next summer, they might even be able to negotiate a rate lock for you with their preferred lender.
