You guys are so funny. If Huntsville's population is about 177,000, it's population should be at the 180,000 mark.

What about us? Is there something in Huntsville for us to do?

I don't see why "the black crowd" can't enjoy all the things Reactionary and I mentioned. I see black people all the time at a lot of these places/events (in fact, the last DDG game I counted just about every demographic--age and race--I could think of there!). Maybe it's just your group of friends? What would you like to do for fun if you could have anything? Then maybe we can figure out why it isn't here in Huntsville, and maybe you could organize a group to get it together. You seem like a good motivator, albeit maybe a little naive, but if you could spark the idea into the right minds then you may just get your wish. Or, maybe it's here already, and you just haven't found it yet. I'm just curious what you would like to see, since we've named a lot of options that are available.
And I second another comment--in college (not that long ago for me) all we did was get a case of Southpaw (barf) and hang out together in an apartment, watching bad movies and just being silly and ridiculous. Bad movies + bad beer + bad pizza + good friends = good times. But usually I was too busy studying or working for all that....

I am more impressed with the black people I met here in Huntsville than I did back in So CA. Here they speak clearly with grammatically correct English. Talk & act intelligently & appeared to be well-educated. They represent the African-American in a positive light. Back in So. CA, many blacks appeared to stuck in the '...the system is keeping me down...' and hostile toward anyone who's not black.

That was before the era of sony playstations & internet. We would get wasted and dare each other to go skinny dipping in the lake.
KE is an A&M Bulldog, so he should be busy playing with DIRT ! Has he grown anything lately? Trees? Veggies? Genetically altered plants? Anything? Has he ever hand-milk a cow? Raise some chickens? Does he have girlfriend(s)?
How can you be bored? Come over to my house, I have some yard work for you to do! What's the hourly wage for bored & unmotivated college students these days?

A Dave & Buster’s, a few go-kart parks, a few water parks, and an Alabama Adventure type theme park would do good. Huntsville needs to become a tourist destination with a couple of resort hotels, if possible.

Why do you want tourism, KE? Just curious. Are you looking for image? Do you want people from outside of Huntsville to look at Huntsville as fun and exciting? I'm just trying to understand your thought process, is all.
I just don't see outside image as anything to worry about, as long as I can enjoy what entertainment options are available already. Are you really that bored in Huntsville? Or that concerned about what others think of Huntsville?
