I'd love to see something interesting happen in the downtown area that would draw people there--it has a lot of potential. A lovely french restaurant comes to mind.

Keep on dreaming. Come up with the vision needed to inspire something to happen.

We had a nice little French style restaurant called Le Bistro du Soleil on the square next to Harrison Hardware. It closed within the last year.

I saw that and wanted to go, but it closed before we could get there. I think it would have done better in Jones Valley's shopping center or Bridge St.

haha--dreaming is good. But I totally wish it could be a reality of some kind. It's just that the few of us who want a bit more urbane and cosmopolitan choices are probably in the minority. And that drives out these wonderful ideas. Hence BBQ place at Bridge St. Blah.

I saw the sign on the door earlier this month when I went to the courthouse for a business license. It's such a shame it closed. I would LOVE a good French restaurant. I wish someone would open one at Bridgestreet, instead of another freakin' BBQ place.
The square area is so charming. Too bad they don't have condos and apartments down there along with some cafes and little shops. I would love to live in a safe and thriving downtown area.

Now that would be so cool, 419. A real Village! I never got to try Bistro Soleil before they closed ... How abut the PHOENIX? Has anyone tried it?
There's a Greek place downtown as well. I am going to check it out soon.
