YMCA in New Hope?
Hi all,
I noticed when I was visiting that in New Hope there is a directional sign on 431 that says "YMCA Road." For the life of me though, I can't find a YMCA online located in New Hope.
Is there actually a Y on that road, or is it some sort of rec center? We'll be living in Grant, so I'm looking for the closest fitness or family rec center.
Thanks!

Drive up there and see for yourself-if it's open and functional, or in construction.
At least on paper - county's property records- there's 18 acre that Madison County is owner of.

I think the New Hope YMCA is now a relic.

Well, it'd be a 12-hour drive for me as I'm in FL, ha. Saw it in passing when I visited but never had a chance to drive up there.

It used to be a YMCA many years ago. I can remember playing peewee football for McCormick YMCA (which also no longer exists) against New Hope Y. We're talking 1980-82 time frame.

Ah, thanks for the info! I guess it's been named YMCA Rd. for a while then, and they probably never changed it. A rec center... hmmm, well that could be good for my kids, anyway.
