My hubby and I moved up from New Orleans (every kind of bar imaginable.) We are looking to open something here in the area. I have noticed since I have been here there a lot of people in their late twentys-early 40's that have relocated (mostly married w/ kids. as am I.) What do we want? or need? Obviously not another mexican restaurant.

One with a good beer selection and non-smoking. Oh, the Nook already covers that The Nook is the future of pubs/bars in the area as far as I'm concerned.

How about a Fuddrucker's? Put it in the old Lane Furniture store in front of Best Buy.

Blues or Jazz club/bar. With BBQ maybe? Think Beale St in Memphis.

CAJUN!!! Good 'ol southern bar & grille. Add Friday afternoon blues/jazz bands playing! Get that TGIF happy hour thing going. Get a place that has a nice patio/ grassy area (good for moms with young kids while listening to concerts).

Hire GOOD LOOKING young waitresses with big smiles. Young men will come first, then young women will show up because of the men, beer will flow and people will be happy.

The jazz thing though.. I don't really know anyone that really listens to jazz anymore honestly not even back home, the jazz bars are mostly for tourist..
