I'm coming from Chicago for Tuesday/Wednesday with my mom and sister, we are staying at the Holiday Inn Express(hope it's ok there). Where should we eat? Looking for a nice restaurant not overly expensive. Thanks for your help.
How's the weather been?

When I travel to somewhere I don't know too much about, besides reading City Data forum, I use this:

Huntsville Restaurants: Read Huntsville Restaurant Reviews - TripAdvisor

Tripadvisor rates Po Boy Factory number 1 in Huntsville, based on popularity.

You should try Gibson BBQ and try the 'white' BBQ sauce. It is original to this area.

It is HOT and humid here with feel like temps in the low 100s some days. Plan your outside sightseeing in the AM before it gets so hot. It has been in the low 90s.

That should be Big Bob Gibson's BBQ in Decatur...the Huntsville Gibson's is a different branch of the family and the BBQ is different.

Also, white sauce is meant for BBQ chicken...some people like on pork, but it's not really meant for the pig.

And don't even THINK about beef BBQ in Alabama. Simply isn't done. Stick with the pork and chicken.

Ditto on Big Bob Gibson's BBQ:
Barbecue, barbecue ribs, food recipe, barbecue accessories, chicken wing sauce
