Default Hair Stylist

I need a referral to a Hair Stylist who is good with children. I have a 3 1/2 year old that needs her first professional hair cut.

If you want a specialist, there's a children's salon in SE Huntsvile. "Spoiled Rockin'" salon.

They are stupidly expensive, but for a special occasion it's a good place - my girls have been there for birthday parties. They have fun salon chairs, good staff, and a "first haircut" package that includes a certificate, etc. It's something fun to do if you are concerned about a positive first experience (I took my timid daughter to a similar place for her first cut.), and it's right next to Brewster's Ice Cream if you want a treat after.

In general I've been taking my two kids (age 4 and 6) to GreatClips and have never been disappointed. $9 a cut.

I use Heidi at Dantera. I've been pleased with how she's done my hair, so I'm sure she would be good with kids also. Prices aren't bad there IMO!!! Good luck!

Thanks guys! I have heard of "Spoiled Rockin" and know exactly where it is. Someone told me it is more just for fun and I might not get a good haircut but I am thinking the person doing the cut is a professional. I might just try it this once just for fun. Do you know how much the first haircut package is?
