We had a pretty good Mongolian grill here in Decatur at a Chinese restaurant, but when they hired Hispanics to do the cooking (all the kids got engineering degrees at UAH and left home!), the food got bad. They shipped the grill off somewhere.

oooo! Baja Fresh! *drool* That was a favorite go-to place for us in California.

Man, the Mongolian grill on Cecil Ashburn is dead.
It's dead not because it's a Mongolian Grill, but because that particular Mongolian Grill is utterly repugnant. We were very excited to see that place, and tried it once. DISGUSTING. Never again. Seriously, some of the worst food I have ever tasted at a restaurant. And bad service as well. It's the only restaurant I've been to in Huntsville that I assertively disparage do my friends. "Whatever you do, DON'T go to Mongolian Grill!"

And I was someone who was a frequent and eager patron of Mongolian BBQ places in California. I feel bad for anyone who tries "Mongolian" there for the first time and then decides they don't like it as a result. A damned shame. It's not easy to completely ruin that kind of food, but they manage to do it. Of special note is their policy of leaving the chunks raw meat out with the other buffet items. Highly disturbing. The Mongolian BBQ/grill places I have favored take your order for your meat and bring you a bowl of thin slices of frozen meat to which you then add your other ingredients from the buffet - so from freezer to wok the meat is only out for a few minutes. I.e., the meat is stored in a high quality freezer, not at room temperature buffet style. Gag.

Not that I'm a big fan of Ketchup or anything but a BBQ restaurant does not belong in a so called upscale mall.

Welcome to www.BajaFresh.com
Agreed. Baja Fresh beats out Chipotle any day. We are headed up that way this weekend. May just have to stop in for a fix.

Moe's isn't too good either. Salty, annoying customer greeting. Gringo.
