Default Moving to Athens, Need an Apt, and suggestions?

I'm moving to Athens from SE Huntsville to be closer to my work in Florence. Athens is directly between my work and my hometown so thats why i'm choosing athens.

I've been searching for apts but all the ones i've driven by are kinda scary looking. I'm just looking for a 1 bedroom, maybe 2. Anybody know of some nice ones that would be good for a young professional?

The ones behind Sleep Inn aren't bad. Also, Southwind apartments are pretty good. I used to live there and never had any problems.

Call Sandra Stockton. I think she has one 2 br. apt left. She lives in the 1800s home (downstairs). The whole house was recently renovated. Pool. Near Athens State University.

I don't think you would be disappointed. The place is at the corner of Beaty Street and Hobbs. It is hard to miss. PM me if you need more information or a phone number. Tell her Debbie Miller recommended it... I don't think she advertises, except by word of mouth.

There are some on Clinton, but I don't know much about them. There are also some on Elm Street. The last one before Hwy 31 was nice when I was there about 5 years ago... don't know much about them now, though. Things can change so fast. I feel good about recommending Sandra's place, as she is a friend and not some big company. She is a secretary at the University, and just rents out units to help financially. There is also a place that has at least 4 units in the Houston district.... well, there are a few there, but the one I am thinking of is a big old square house with a "lantern" on top. I think a Johnson owns it. Corner of Bryan and something...maybe Madison? I have heard they were nice.
