Default Celtic engagement/wedding rings in Hsv area?

Hello all,

This may sound like an odd question, but I am trying to find a local jewelry store that sells Celtic engagement and/or wedding rings.

I don't know much about fine jewelry, but I do know that I'd like to find a claddagh ring, or something similar. I hope to be proposing to my girlfriend soon.

I've tried looking online to find something locally, but so far all I can seem to find are just a lot of general-style rings.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I suspect you will only find the run-of-the-mill sterling, gold knots and Claddagh...locally.

Perhaps someone will know of a custom jeweler who can make you something specific, which would have a great deal of meaning behind it...

Otherwise, try Cash's of Ireland online...who else...thinking...Blarney? Trying to remember who had quality goods genuine to the country and not some knock-off. There is a site my husband and I both found to be exceptional, all handcrafted with a choice of precious stones, but I can't recall who it was. Not based in the US, so timing would be an issue. I'll see if he remembers who the company was. (IBB)

Maybe Jimmy Smiths? They had an unusual ring selection back in '93 when I got mine.

Celtic Wedding Bands and other rings with designs inspired by the Celts

Try this, if only for ideas...

And there was an Irish Import shop in New Orleans...not sure if they're still there. Prices were reasonable and they had gems as well as plain metal...might be worth looking in to, maybe a little trip for a weekend getaway and then "Oh, darling...let's look in here..."

Good luck!

Any good jewelry store - even a LOCAL - should be able to get what you want. A claddagh ring is not that uncommon. Stores have access to catalogs and distributors that consumers don't.

Go ask. It won't cost anything. You might be surprised.

And...congrats!

Well I just tried to post, but then I think the system went ka-put for a moment..

Anyway, thanks all, esp 33458. So far what I've seen in local stores is looking a little pitiful compared to the selection I've seen online.

Thanks again! Any further ideas, please feel free.

Our wedding rings are celtic knotwork.. we had them custom made by a jeweler. Not here in Huntsville, but it was just a local jeweler. Like Southlander says, I'd think a local jeweler anyone could make them.
