Can anyone suggest a culturally diverse church in this area? I am interested in a contemporary service, casual attire, Christian church. I am not really too hung up on a specific religions - I was raised Baptist, but I am definitely open to new experiences, with the exception of probably a charismatic environment.

I agree, that The Rock Family Worship Center may be a food fit. It is a pretty diverse congregation, so you should not feel out of place. It is a contemporary service and you can dress casual. People dress up as well as wear jeans. Here is their website:

In fact, while attending Catholic masses in different towns throughout Alabama while visiting/traveling, it is not unusual to see Whites, Blacks, Orientals, and Hispanics in attendance at the same mass.
