I have had Directv for 7 years now and get the NFL Sunday Ticket. Would never give up Directv. They have always treated me right.

As for phone and internet, I use Knology. I may pay more in this setup, but to me it is totally worth it.

Interesting, I've thought about the same, dropping the ATT DSL and phone and going VOIP and Cable Internet. I did the math and it's only really $10 or so more a month and the internet is way faster which might get me back into that PC Gaming (which my wife would LOVE lol).

I guess I am cheap. I have Knology cable & internet service for $33/mo, then I have a separate VOIP phone for unlimited nationwide long distance for another $16/mo. That makes me total for less than $50/mo.

HB2HSV - ok - that's what I'm talking about! So - people like Knology? I couldn't care less about HDTV, but I do need high speed internet (no dial up or satellite for that).

Anyone know if knology comes out to hampton cove?

No, I don't think Knology is in HC, but it does not hurt to double check!

We have Directv as well, we have been with them since 2004 and I have been extremely happy! When we compared them to Knology, we came out better sticking with Directv on our cable package, for what we wanted. We got more for much less with Directv.
Our internet is through AT&T, and I am about to make the swap to Knology. I have heard their internet service is outstanding!

Yooshin, DH is a gamer too, so I guess if I go with Knology, I will never get my honey-do list done!

Now, I get all the OTA HD channels from my place in Madison with an indoor antenna and got 6.0 Mbps DSL with AT&T. I figure I'll be saving around $1,000 a year. . Also may look into setting up a HTPC next to the TV and watch streaming video from hulu.
Bad news. Hulu is going to turn into a subscription service. You'll still be able to get the most recent 5 episodes of each show for free, but if you enjoy going back and watching the older shows you will have to pay like $15 a month.

so let me jump on here and ask this question since we are moving to the huntsville area, are there any cable providers that DO NOT have the local channels in the line-up? We lived in Butte for awhile and we got hosed because they neglected to tell us that they did not have ABC, CBS, FOX etc in the line up and of course that is where all the shows we liked to watch were at.
