WOW...mine water pressure outside is BAD.......

I have been hit in the eye by a water fountain harder than the pressure I have now.

Inside water pressure is great, no problems in the shower or anything like that.

Any suggestions? I live in Toney, city water....

Can I add anything?

Usually there is a cutoff valve to outside bibbs, either under the house or in a basement. That would be my first check. While looking for it I would look for crimped pipe as well. If those aren't the problem, then the actual bibb valve may have an obstruction of a decayed washer, stone, or calcium and need to be replaced.

Look in the garage since you are on a slab...near the hot water heater. If not, can you call the builder or is it an older home?

It may be fine. Some if not all outside bibs are house pressure - around 60 psi or so. If you are lucky you also have a bib upstream of the pressure regulator, out in the front yard probably, so you'd be getting street pressure there of maybe 120psi, great for yard clean up with a hose and nozzle.

There are pressure meters you can buy cheap (less than $10?) at the hardware store. Good to have one anyway to verify your house pressure is maybe 60 or 70.

He has really LOW water pressure outside Charles. Since it is a house on a slab, options are limited and I really hope the builder didn't put copper into the concrete. Unless there is a defective or partially closed valve, the entire line might have to be replaced with one going underground outside the house.

Right, but what does "low" mean? "Low" to him might mean 60 psi if "outside" pressure to him (at previous homes) means street pressure, of 120psi or so.

If the bibs are house pressure, then they could be 50 or 60 psi, which would seem "low" compared to 120psi street pressure if 120 psi street pressure is what he associates with "outside" pressure.

He needs to measure it and know his plumbing design. If his outside bib is downstream of the pressure regulator and he measures 60 psi, then there (likely) is no problem.

Charles-you're getting to technical...
Question is: OP, do you have a new neighbor just moved in? He must've flushed the toilet when you were watering the lawn, the water went down. I'd say you were there first, so the neighbor has to get on (your) schedule.

Well, all I can say is...when I turn the water hose on...the spigot in the back of the house barley pushes water out of the hose...really...if you were to hold the hose level with the ground, the arc of water would start about 2 inches from the end of the hose...does that make sence? 2 inches from the end of the hose it start to go to the ground...

The front is not much better...

Well anyway....thanks for the help...keep more suggestions coming.

I'll buy a water pressure guage, and get back with ya on that...

Would any hardware store have a pressure guage?
