I liked the other tread about what you would take...ect.
For those of us that can't evacate what precautions do you take?
For me I have all the suggested supplies.
In addition to having all vehicles filled up with gas, including the motorcycle and boat, I also have the lawnmower and chainsaw full at least two days before landfall is forcasted.
Move all outside toys in (grill, funiture ect..)
Important papers in water & fireproof container and cash stashed in different parts of the house.
I then take out my Bible and pray that it hits Bithlo......just kidding.....
Fill all your bathtubs with water. Test the generator OUTSIDE. Secure all loose things around the house. Get one of those hand cranked radios and keep a flashlight or two handy. Turn fridge all the way to highest cooling. Unplug the electronics (electric surges).
