A guy went out here into the SC pre-tropical storm waves, out past a sand bar up to his chest.....he was just "looking at the storm" he said....

so someone had to rescue him with a ski-bee.

As I said, "Social Darwinism, at it's best..". Some people really don't need to be in the gene pool...I mean, if you can't understand that big storm, hurricane, evacuate, means...don't go swimming in the ocean today...what more can we do?

Of course, on the flip side, if the Weather people were not all over everywhere telling people OMG, we are all going to die when it is obvious the storm lost strength and was not quite as bad as they predicted (which is a realy good thing), You would probably have fewer people running around trying to get on camera.

Its just a pet peeve of mine when the weather people are standing in it and get all sanctimonious about other people doing just what they are doing. They are no more special or important than anyone else.

I have a REAL problem when people make stupid or selfish decisions and then other people have to risk THEIR lives to go save them.

In NY, two idiots in Staten Island were kayaking Saturday night of the hurricane and had to be rescued when it capsized.

5 other idiots decided to take a raft down the Croton River Sunday afternoon. Their rescuers needed to be rescued.

So obnoxious that they not only stupidly put themselves in harm's way, but they endanger the lives of others. They really should be paraded in front of people and ridiculed.

Or charged for the entire rescue. With a bill submitted for all costs related to the rescue operation, with the bill going to a collection agency if unpaid, and staying on their credit record.

Stupidity should come with a charge.
