High chance they'll name this but heavy rainfall in Mexico only biggest threat. Hope no kids out there are hyping this one.

Most on here are hurricane afficionados. Well, I thought you should know about a new museum in the making in Lake Charles, LA. It will be called the National Hurricane Museum and Science Center and the structure itself will be hurricane proof. They purposely chose a location in hurricane alley, where hurricanes frequently hit. It will be around a 2.5 hour drive from New Orleans. Will any of you be planning to visit this upon completion?

It will be the place to visit for all hurricane experts/wanna be experts!

Pacific putting out some monster storms already! Christina became a Cat 4 overnight. No threat to land.

Per NHC, earliest 2nd Cat 3+ in Eastern Pacific since reliable records began in 1971.

Apparently at the Hurricane Museum, there will be giant weather modeling machines and hurricane buffs can closely monitor storms on high capacity computers. It will be great!

All is quiet 3 weeks into the Hurricane Season... Here's why..

Trade winds pushing West while strong Jet Stream ripping apart any possible development.
