Atlantic:
-Area of scattered showers between Cuba and Florida is caught in high shear and not expected to develop.
-Area of scattered showers heading generally North was named invest "90L", and has now organized enough to become Tropical Depression 16.
East Pacific:
-Disturbance along S/SE Mexico coast has become Tropical Storm Ramon this AM.
8amEST/AST:
Atlantic:
-A non-tropical low may become tropical way out in the north central Atlantic with 70% chance of development currently.
-Only other system being picked up by anything I've seen is maybe something stirring in the Bay of Campeche here in another week, otherwise a little quieter out there.
5aEST 9Oct2017:
-The non-tropical low way out in N Central Atlantic has become Tropical Depression 17, expected to stay off towards the East and only land threat is potentially the Azores islands hundreds of miles off the Portugal coast.
8pmEST Thursday 12Oct2017:
Atlantic:
-Ophelia heading towards NW Europe (see its thread).
-A Tropical Wave (basically group of disorganized scattered showers) is heading towards the Lesser Antilles. Shear is expected to prevent development. Looks to curve up northward missing the islands where it then has a 20% chance to develop at that time according to NHC.
East Pacific:
-System 750 miles S of Baja moving out into the Pacific has a 10-30% chance of development.
Central Pacific (Hawaii):
-No systems next few days.
