I'm wondering this as Indonesia has experienced some hurricanes/cyclones/typhoons in the past, and the Atlantic hurricane season is still on as of today, can they happen, on more intense scale? Indonesia has warm waters, so...?
Probably so. Indonesia is right on the equator, where hurricanes don't occur (the Coriolis force is too weak there).
