Tue 3Sept2019 2pEDT/1pCDT: Located in Western Gulf of Mexico. PTC7 became Tropical Depression 7 today and now Tropical Storm Fernand, the 6th named storm of the 2019 Atlantic Hurricane season. On average the 6th named storm genesis date is Sept. 8th.

Estimated winds 40mph(65km/h), moving W 7mph(11km/h), pressure 1004mb. Located about 160miles(255km) E of La Pesca, Mexico, about 185miles(295km) ENE of Tampico, Mexico.

-Tropical Storm Warning Barra del Tordo, Mexico to US/Mexico border.
-Tropical Storm winds extend up to 105miles(175km) from storm center, mainly W side.
-TS winds to reach coast late tonight.
-NOAA Hurricane Hunter aircraft on its way to investigate storm now.
-Rain moving onshore now: NE Mexico: 6-12in, isolated 15in. SE Texas: 2-4in, isolated 6in.
-May strengthen some before reaching land as minimal TS.
-Track takes it W or WNW into NE Mexico, high pressure over S Central US keeps it from coming North.

Tue 3Sept2019 8pEDT/7pCDT: Winds 50mph(85km/h), moving W 7mph(11km/h), pressure 1000mb. Located about 105miles(165km) ESE La Pesca, Mexico, about 165miles(265km) E of Tampico, Mexico. Heavy rains into NE Mexico and some into SE Texas this evening.

Wed 4Sept2019 5aEDT/4aCDT: Winds 50mph(85km/h), moving W 6mph(9km/h), pressure 1000mb. Located about 80miles(130km) SE La Pesca, Mexico, about 95miles(150km) NE of Tampico, Mexico. Landfall into NE Mexico this evening sometime, although most of the rain associated with the storm is over land already.

Wed 4Sept2019 11aEDT/10aCDT: Winds 45mph(75km/h), moving WNW 8mph(13km/h), pressure 1002mb. Landfall later today NE Mexico. Heavy rains the story. Estimated 9-12inches may have fallen in portions of NE Mexico already.

Wed 4Sept2019 5pEDT/4pCDT: Winds 35mph(55km/h), moving WNW 9mph(15km/h), pressure 1005mb. Tropical Depression now (winds less than 39mph). Inland, dumping lot of rain. Flood and mudslide risk NE Mexico. SE TX possible 1-3in, isolated 6in, low tornado risk.
