TD Two having a hard time materializing... dry air is really hammering it. The wave behind it looks promising though. Dunno which will become Ana now.

IMO, the wave that currently exited off the coast of Africa that NHC is giving a 30 - 50% chance of developing will become Ana.

Long range model NWSGFS shows a pretty potent storm in the Bahamas area at the end of next week which is the wave I mentioned above....... HOWEVER, models predicting that far out are not 100% accurate.

So with that being said, we're entering the peak of Hurricane season and there's no time like the present to dust off those hurricane plans and get prepared.

Don't be a procrastinator and end up in long lines at your local grocery store and hardware store when the watches are issued.

Well...the NHC has issued the last advisory on TD#2. It is now a remnant low. I guess this thread should move now towards the low behind it south of the Cape Verde islands.

The system formerly known as Atlantic Tropical Depression Two has at least temporarily lost the battle to dry air and wind shear. That is actually the reason why the system weakened slightly Thursday morning. Instead of its maximum winds increasing by 5 mph and the system acquiring a name, the winds were down to 30 mph today. The system was centered about 850 miles west of the southernmost Cape Verde Islands late in the afternoonIf more thunderstorms are able to develop around the system's center, then it should be able to regain strength. The system is moving into an area of warmer water. Story by AccuWeather.com Senior Meteorologist Brett Anderson

OK... TD#2 must have saw my premie posts in here naming it Ana. TD#2 comes back from the dead and is now TS Ana. This time for real with advisories and the whole shabang.

Unfortunately, it looks like Florida may get a hit. Given the small size of the storm, I wouldn't rule out a Hurricane.
