RUN FOR THE HILLS, THE SKY IS FALLING, THE SKY IS FALLING, come on, don't fall for the media hype, the media uses stuff like this to drive ratings and sell newspapers. Yes it's a potential hurricane and yes hurricanes are not a good thing, but if cry wolf too often when the real big one comes people won't pay attention

I am not trying to scare anyone, just making people aware. And hopefully people will take the tax holiday the next two weeks, and prepare themselves for Hurricane Season if they haven't already.

This is just the start of the season, information helps others see the real picture. Most folks are not scared, they should be concerned if the don't have a plan in case that a Cat3 or higher decides to visit our town(s).

Reminds me of Katrina. It just formed out of nothing near the Bahamas and we paid almost no attention to it. You just never know about them.

We rain in moderation rather than in severe thunderstorms that will cause flooding and possible stop of services in some communities...

One of my favorite things to do in a hurricane is to sit in my neighbors garage and watch the storm...

She gets claustrophobic and I have to say I do at times after being cooped up too long...

The power of a hurricane is really a very amazing thing to observe if you can do it from a safe spot.

The problem occurs at the time that the safe place becomes destroyed or a damaged house. Your friend my be one that needs to be taken out of the area if the hurricane is coming your way. Now she becomes a liability for you and the rescue and emergency teams.
