I just bought a new '12 Sonata 2.0T and I couldn't care less what the warranty is. The main stuff is covered under my 36 month 45k mile lease, which is all I care about.

The people who buy Kia's and to less degree Hyundai think 'cheapest' is best value.. Which clearly isn't the case..

Even though their cars aren't cheap what so ever..

I've generally had bad experiences with south Korean businesses.. Such as Samsung, Hyundai,Kia.. I try to avoid them..

They have many 'legit' ways to get out of the warranty repairs.. In other words, if you toss a rod at 80k miles good luck getting a new motor.

Exactly. When they first made cars, they were cheap. Now they are about as expensive as Toyota, Nissan and Honda.. Even though the resale value for Korean cars is in the tank, people still buy these crap cars.. Who knows, I guess it goes to show you how people can be swayed by marketing huh?

My Sonata has same residual as a Accord or Camry. Sure better than anything Ford makes.

guess again.. So says the Hyundai dealer now. Go to trade it in in 5 years.. You will see.. In fact go to kbb now and put in a 5 year old car of your choice and you will see now.. Korean cars have the lowest trade in value.. Throw away cars, sorry to say..
