Hi forum! I've fallen in love with the base (non-turbo) Hyundai Veloster. I'm planning on buying a tech package V for my holiday gift. I was tempted to get something with more cargo space like the new Elantra GT or a Kia Sportage. But I just love the V. Now I just need to decide on either red or orange.

I'd love to know what you think of your own Veloster. Please share your experience with me. Thanks!

Try veloster.org. Nice car but non turbo is slooow. Check out the improved Genesis Coupe or Sonata SE 2.0t?

Thanks for your reply, PokerMunkee. I am not concerned about speed. I want something economical with a little style. Thanks for your suggestion!

Won't find a better looking car inside and out that gets almost 40MPG (IMO). Are you going to get the panoramic roof? I have it on my Sonata Turbo and it's great.

Get your eyes checked.

Its a quirky car and fills a void Honda used to fill. Its not particularly good at anything but its different.

You are probably way outside the demographics of the typical Veloster buyer, so it's OK to only desire Buicks, Cadillacs, and Toyotas. I couldn't see my grandpa driving a Veloster either.

Does that 40 MPG come with a big giant asterisk like the Elantra?

Eh, so what the Elantra only get 37 compared to 40 for most people. It's like a $130 difference a year in fuel. Hyundai doesn't publish these numbers, so you can't blame them.

I bought a 2012 Hyundai Veloster in may and i love it. I get about 30MPG and saving a lot more money than i was when i had my Nissan Xterra. Everyone gives me compliments about my car and loves the style, I don't have a turbo, and really have no need for it. Its different and gets good MPG.

I am not a grandpa,or great grandpa, but old enough to be, and I could see me owning a V.
I really like the style.
Bob.
