I keep wanting Dunkin Donuts, that's not getting anywhere

Dunkin' Donuts has given up in the Northwest. They used to exist here...my theory is they running scared from Krispy Kreme, which to my knowledge is not currently in East Idaho.

Give it time...now that they have built a presence in Utah, it will come. They have actually said that they are ready to break back in to this territory. They are just doing it smart this time.

Krispy Kreme also is slowly building up in SLC, so perhaps both Dunkin and Krispy will enter East Idaho...though I would expect this to be a slow build.

I heard the KMart in Ammon is closing in a few months. It'll be interesting to see if it stays vacant for long.

Kmart is dying a slow death. I expect there to be none left by 2019.

As for re-use, that is difficult. Who wants this type of space today? Better investment, tear down, rebuild. That would seem the best option for this good location in Ammon.

I hope they build a Smiths grocery where Kmart is.

Jamba Juice is coming to Grand Teton Mall.
The Cookie Place is building near the mall.
I'm not sure if its been mentioned, Mountain View Hospital is expanding in current location

I would offer that Smith's would not likely build another store so close to their Woodruff location. The only scenerio I could imagine is closing the Woodruff location and moving it to E17th in Ammon. Though I don't think this is likely.

If Smiths could build one of their "super-stores" on that Kmart spot, they would totally KILL Albertsons in Ammon. I already prefer Smiths over Brolims, and although I live in south east Ammon, I drive past Brolims to go to Albertsons on Hitt for my "small shopping needs" and go to Smiths on Woodruff or even Winco or all the way over to Fred Meyer for "major shopping". Brolims barely figures into my family's grocery equation. I doubt we've spent $200 there since they opened. The fact that a lot of our "ad-hoc" grocery buying is on Sunday may figure into that.
