Also something major going up on Hoopes just north of 17th. This is right next door to a medical building, so my guess is this will be as well.

Default Natural Grocers Opens

We've watched each step of the final negotiation of previously existing businesses and bldgs, through clearing the land and building something new. Natural Grocer's opens tomorrow in I. F.

I can't remember how far they are from a stop light. If you know please add. It matters simply as that was one segment of 17th St. that use to have reasonable traffic flow. Now...........well I guess we'll all learn.

Let us know if you shop there.

Good guess, pw72. That bldg is not exactly putting up signs to announce what will be there. There was a time when Hoopes, north of 17th didn't exist, or was far less than a paved road. Then the Medical and Professional Credit Union was built there.

The new $2.3 Million bldg. is the second bldg. for The Teton Cancer Institute (TTCI). It will have the radiation equipment for Radiation Oncologists to treat patients. I won't be surprised if at least 1-2 other services are located there too. It all depends on whether they want to put another Liner Accelerator or two in the area and/or other more specialized equipment at that location.

Default Teton V. W. and more

The official building permit for Teton V. W. has been issued for W. Sunnyside Road.

Car dealerships will change the look of that road in less than a year.

I can't imagine what that area looked like just a few years ago. Am I correct that there wasn't even a Sunnyside exit not too long ago?

Default Indoor Shooting Range for SRL

Look for another bldg. to join those in SRL. Guns and Gear, a local development doesn't plan to start until Feb, 2014. Not sure how big this 15 lane shooting gallery and more will be. This isn't speculation, plans have been filled with the Bldg. Dept.

2014 could be the pivotal year in Idaho Falls to get those businesses which were delayed from 2007 on back on track. Besides, as the population changes so do the desires sometimes.

Happy building!

True, when I first moved to Pocatello in '06 I think the Sunnyside exit was either being constructed or had just opened. My mind fails me on that. But I do remember you could not drive straight east very far on Sunnyside in that era. Perhaps at one point it was a country road, but my memory was they were rebuilding the street, expanding it to five lanes, and building residential seperation permanent fences. I believe this was happening around 2006-2008.

I always describe Sunnyside as Idaho Fall's southern beltway. It really isn't a "beltway" in the definition of the word, but it acts as such, funneling a lot traffic headed for Ammon to the south of I.F., at decent speeds. (40 is the limit, 50 is the average). Traffic moves along at most times and the lights are timed nicely. However, I would remind everyone this street still has a lot of pedestrian traffic, and is certainly not a freeway.

Default Panda is Panda

As I was looking for other Info I ran across the I. F. Panda Express info again. That is an $850 K bldg on S. Utah. They must develop a lot close to Walmart.

So tmp4, you don't have to wonder anymore.
