Per the P.R. today, hopefully construction work will be started this summer. If the summer start date is this summer, completion will be in 2015.

Default Delta Flights to MN are Back!

There will be a news posting on this later. Delta is already scheduling flights directly.
Service won't be everyday to start, but expects to expand soon.

Given what we've learned about changing Delta and Alaska Airlines service from Boise to SLC, this was the right time. Have to check with the "Control Tower," but one wonders if this was negotiated before 2014 and formalities, including the announcement two weeks ago this would be studied for the future with the grant. That was a quick study.

Perhaps we'll be hearing about that late 2013 announced, possible INL project soon. I think the deadline is March.

INL was one of two national labs invited to review the work and get public comment.

Great news about the flight! Maybe more good news soon.

IFGuy knew about the feelers and interest of Cabela's maybe 5-6 years ago. He was right. Looks like the store will be in Ammon.

I just always figured IF was a perfect fit due to its proximity to nature (hunting and fishing) and being the central city of east Idaho.

I'm going to predict Costco will announce as well for SRL, and Hobby Lobby and Fred Meyer for SCC (sand creek commons).

There still are a few retail giants sitting out there that may end up here in the next decade as well. (Nordstroms, Burlington Coat, and we are now without a Gap)

Great call IFGuy. As for Nordstroms, not so positive. They have no locations in Idaho currently, except for a "Nordstroms Rack" in Boise. My guess is Boise would be their top priority, but who knows?

I am hearing rumors of another hotel at exit 116, (Teton Toyota exit), but I can't confirm.

I.F.Guy, again great call. I remember the other businesses we use to talk about with Cabela's. I'd think they might want to consider now too.

I haven't been around and haven't checked the other site. I'm leaving this for you to post there. You've earned it .

It's a changing world so I can't be certain, but I tend to agree with pw72 about Nordstroms. The smallest I've ever seen was in Anchorage. It really wasn't worth going into, for me. A couple of other dept. stores come to mind for me first.. I think those who pay Nordies prices are only part of the group using their disposable income to shop at Cabela's (a.more diverse socioeconomic group will shop at Cabela's), but I could be wrong. BYU-I students will shop at Cabela's but not necessarily a Nordies. Also, believe those
BYU-I consumers are forgotten by far too many businesses. Plus I look for a hotel as tourists can get their last items for Jackson, WY Yellowstone etc. and stay a night.

If Costco goes there too plus other construction not far away sometime in 2014-15, it's going to be one busy Sunnyside Road! And I saw something totally unexpected last week about that project I sent you, I.F.Guy which boggled my brain for a few days. I'm getting closer to writing that one here. I still think it's too early. Just like there were things we couldn't talk about 2014, I want everything on go first and I think some tweaking might be happening. It will be worth the wait.

tmp4- I'm glad this makes you happy.

pw72, a MT business bought the hotel on W. Sunnyside. Do you think this is the same group who migbht be developing another hotel? Or someone else? Because you are very good at this stuff, and I think you like it too and everyone knows I suck at it , sometime when you want an outing will you please look at the distance between the proposed site of the hotel and where S. Bellin are? I do understand there may not be roads etc. yet and it's your best guess. No problem, that's good enough for me. I just know a person elsewhere is adamant about how S. Bellin fits in. Thanks.

Meanwhile Cleosmom and I will continue our quest on a westside building. We know what, just not who - yet. We will

Nice day for Bonneville County Metro!
