Is that by the Washington Federal Credit Union is suppose to be built? That is on the SW corner of Sunnyside and Hitt? I've seen some things going on there. Awesome.

Guess who had machinery today? SRL right where the 200 apartments are suppose to go. Some other things look different in SRL too. It all started with you seeing equipment starting to be walked up the Sunnyside part of SRL.

Dirt is moving south of exit 116 heading east. It is toward the river. A house that probably was on farm land last year, is now vacant in the back. We all knew when it started there were several projects primed to go

I can't remember who posted that Costco has to have 1,000 residences within one mile. July 2015 estimates for that area, 1,000 and change This is going to be great, IMO.

Ultra secretive developers!!!

However, we usually know what's up weeks before hand anyhow. But I would take a vow of secrecy just to know what's happening.

Yes it is south of the planned credit union. The artists rendering includes a brick facade.

I did notice a few days ago there was a drilling rig around where the apartments are to be built. You see those a lot in locations that have to be blasted. Not sure if they are blasting thru lava or drilling a well. It was odd the way that equipment appeared one day close to sunnyside, moved a little dirt around, then dissapeared shortly thereafter. It had me excited for a minute. You can see rectangles where they cleared grass.

What and where is Riverside Village?

Looking forward to my buddies posting comments so we can do what we do best: find answers

Unrelated and I always forget to post this, can anyone remember the name of the race strip being built for teens (and older)? This has been so on my back burner I can't even remember who is doing this. I think someone donated land and 8B will build, or I could be very confused. All I remember for certain is the teens have nowhere to drag race. The problem is not going away so someone in Northern 8B or possibly 1J is donating land to get the kids off of the roads. There were deaths last year due to kids drag racing on roads, which is why some decided this drag racing strip, away from other cars, roads and curves needed to be built.

It sounds like a good idea, IMO. Now, if I could only remember where I read this info month's ago think:............back when it was 60 or 70 outside. Maybe Feb. of this year.........

Awesome!

I've learned Riverside Village, at least for now, is the name of the 200 unit apartment development. That blasting you mention is for the 200 apartments. I read somewhere they were "family apartments," which means more bedrooms to me. Others may know more.

The apartments will be owned by a different company. I don't know who yet, but will with more time

There are some other cool things happening soon, if completed as proposed.

A playground by the river in the Taylor's Crossing area? Ummm hmmm. One detail left to work out. I hope they do it so more can safely enjoy the river.

Thanks for that update

When I was googling an apartment complex in SRL I came up with falls landing apartments. I suppose they may be changing the name to riverside village for whatever reason. Unless these are two different complexes of course

Another related thought I had; these may be higher end apartments seems how they located them in a place needing blasting. Maybe blasting is cheaper than i initially thought.

No, on the blasting, I'm sure you are correct about the cost! I'll send you a PM later, some things I think should be private. I'll send the same info to anyone here, but I'm not going to openly post it. Could easily be two groups of apartments or names that change. There are about four developments all doing things close together.

Send me what you found via Google, please. One could be a Corporation's name. Ball Ventures is not building these apartments. So other names are going to show up. The Village might be elsewhere, if you have a name inside SRL I'd go with that. Perhaps other development for the Village....... :?D

Here's a link about the blasting:
