Noticed a few days ago that this old restaurant is being torn down. Just wondering if anyone knew what was going to happen with the property.

Dunno. All I can say is its a tragic loss. Some of my finest childhood memories involve a Teen Burger, fries with fry sauce and a caramel shake from AC.

Quite off topic, do they have fry sauce in Finland?

A few months ago, they had used the building for police training exercises, but it sat dormant (and disheveled) afterwards. Not sure what is planned for the space now.

Did they ever do anything with the former Kmart/Ernst building on W Broadway? I have to admit I don't venture that way often

Not really. Still using it for events and concerts. Eventually some company's going to buy it.

Welp, the old Arctic Circle is now fully cleared away. Still not sure what might be there next, but 2 of the other 3 corners at that intersection don't give me hope of near-term development.

I'm sure it won't be long before you see some major development there. West side residents have been under-served for a very long time now, and that area already has all the major service lines in place, the real estate has come down, and the access is much better now. Wal-Mart's new super store brought a lot of attention to how much was being overlooked, and both the developments by the river are growing.
