News because Ammon is doing it. There will be a new stoplight installed on Sunnyside and Eagle. Ammon must have learned from their 1st Street experience

Ammon has also started construction on the Splash Park. It will be in McCown Park.

Keep it up Ammon

That's great they're putting one in at Eagle, but it's Sunnyside and Ammon that REALLY needs one.

Congrats Ammon on winning the DOE award. Other cities competing against Ammon included San Francisco, San Diego, Philadelphia and others. Let's see those go full circle. Get D #93 schools prepared, get some local bright minds to get a patent and meet with REDI to find financing to start production of the last sensor part done by D#93. This could be an Ammon business to design and install in schools throughout the U.S., Canada and maybe beyond.

Two more developments headed to Ammon.

The first, River bend and Riverbend Manor, has to be annexed into Ammon. John Adams and Curlew will both be extended. Limited commercial and 61 units of Multi-Family. But, with R2A, that's probably 2-4 condos/twin homes or town homes.

Ammon Ranch will have some office, some commercial and homes. SE corner of Sunnyside and Ammon Road.

Your thoughts

Ammon is finally going to put the Target road in. I saw on Bizmojo that both Kohls and I think it was the Texas Roadhouse are doing remodels. Not certain if either could add to their respective buildings.

The exit out of Target will be nice

Kohl's is fairly new, I'm surprised.

Default New Location for Hitt Road Post Office

Many of us relied on the Post Office business we use to do at CD World. I noticed yesterday that the postal banners and signs were being displayed from the C Store/Gas Station on the NE corner of Hitt & Sunnyside. IDK their hours or what all they do. My understanding was the new location was suppose to be able to duplicate what CD World location did.

Please post more when someone uses their services.

Also, have you seen the bright green sign on the SE side of Hitt & Sunnyside, welcoming drivers and those shopping at Sandcreek Commons, to Ammon? It's lower than the Sandcreek Commons sign. It's funny to me, given how there would not be an Ammon of 15K residents without Idaho Falls. Natives and those who have lived here > 10 yrs. will probably understand that comment best.

The P.O. location should help many. Happy mailing

You all keep using that, I have a place I can get in and out of in less than 15 minutes, even in December

We might as well use this for new Ammon buildings and Subdivisions. It might be less confusing for future users. We know there are about five major subdivisions being built or starting soon.

Granite Creek is the name of the subdivision south of 49th South and east of 25th East. There will be 44 houses on 1/3 acre lots. I'm not sure about the other corners of 49th and 25th East.

I'd also watch the property east of Kohls.

Finally for now, a hotel will be built north of Walmart. I don't know many more details currently.

SpringHill suites (Marriott) is probable there. They have been expanding all over the PNW. (I may be wrong, but that is my best guess).
