Question Southern ID... what are the building and zoning laws like for homesteaders?

Outside of Boise, Mountain Home or Pocatello if a specific area is needed. More rural outside and not smack dab in the middle of those cities I mean.

Is there a general laxness in many areas or alot of red tape? Need alot of permits and inspections?

I realize each county may be different. I have lived in two very red tape happy states and I am looking at three others to move to. In one of them most areas have no "rules" or codes. I don't know anyone in ID so I thought I would ask about the "vibe".

Thanks!!

Lemon Yellow you can click on this link below and choose the county you are interested and read the codes for yourself to decide if they fit what you are wanting to do. Hope this helps.
