As I am getting ready to make the move up to Idaho from New Mexico, I am also beginning to look for a new mountain bike.

Can anyone recommend a place to start looking?
I don't want anything fancy, but want to avoid walmart bikes.

I've heard of Paradise Creek bike shop, what else is in the area (Pullman, Spokane, etc...)?

Thanks!

You've heard of my fave. Pullman also has a good bike shop-name escapes me. Follett mountain sports also has bikes. I'm sure Spokane has several, and Lewiston has at least one. Can't tell you anything about them. Paradise Creek fills my needs nicely.

How are their prices? I'm on a college students budget, while still hoping for a capable entry-mid level mountain bike. Something not too heavy and with decent components.

Do you ride much Keim?

Afraid I don't ride much, just around town on occasion. Price was fair when I bought my bike a few years ago.
