The frost will be on the pumpkins soon! Hope they turn orange first. I've had to close up the greenhouse...tomatoes are still working on becoming red.
One of the guys on our fencing crew just told me it was 31 at his house this morning.

It was 35 up here in Samuels this morning. I'm still so new here that I'm dumb enough to love it. Nothing better than hot coffee on a chilly morning with fuzzy socks and mountain views.

I've also been finding yellow aspen leaves here and there on the lawn and deck and some of the thimbleberry leaves are beginning to turn. Bring on the fall!

See...I can't go there with you. Since we had rain until 4th of July, we're hoping for a few more weeks in the 80's...hey...I can hope, right?

I think we need rain...but it can stay warm for a little while yet. Summer was very slow in coming. It was 53 here in Spirit Lake at my house this morning...nice!

It was 43 when I got up this morning, they'd had a frost warning so I'm uncertain as to how cold it actually got. I've also been seeing some leaves on the ground here and there, my dog had just finished blowing last winter's coat not long ago is now throwing her summer coat My apple tree? Well it's totally confused as to what to do Apples still on the small side.

It's 40 right now but supposed to be somewhere around 90 today. That's a big difference between morning and afternoon!

Esselcue...how do you have it so warm there? Or are you sleeping in and looking at the thermometer later?

Actually, I looked at the temp reported on my computer at about 7:00 a.m., so maybe that's not accurate. But I have all my windows open at night and it isn't that cold in the morning (still in summer jammies ). I dunno...maybe I need a better thermometer
