Hi, We are from a small town in Montana, we have lived in the Reno, NV area the past 4 years and would like to relocate to the Post Falls area. We have vacationed in the are a few times but are not very well informed on area for info on where to live. We have a 7 year old daughter, so schools and neighborhoods are high on the list. My wife just had her 5th and hopefully final back surgery,so we won't relocate untill next summer or fall. I'm currently a automotive repair shop foreman hoping to find a technician or instructor job between Spokane and CDA. Post Falls seems to be the ideal location. I'm used to driving in western Mt. road conditions, how is the highway conditions during winter for commuting. We want to be closer to our families and friends with this move, but are hoping there is no sub-zero temps like we had in MT. for long periods of time. I am out of time for now, but any advice or info would be greatly appreciated.

As far as schools and neighborhoods, there are plenty to choose from. Really depends on how much you want to spend on a house as their are nice neighborhoods in all price ranges. You have area's like Ponderosa which is heavily treed and right next to a elementary school. You have harbor view area which is a little more upscale and treed as well, but is located right along the river. Fieldstone is a newer neighborhood with tons of trails and newer homes, located between 2 different schools.

Jobs should be easy because your field is so broad. You have 5 new car auto dealerships right there, as well as countless shops in pf. That number gets bigger as you branch out to CdA and the Valley, so I am certain you wont have a problem there.

If you want a info packet on post falls, let me know and I will mail it to you!

thanks for responding, the road conditions sound like they are very well maintained. I a
will be looking for a house in the 100k-175k range. I am interested in the ponderaso area, sounds ideal. my mailing address is: [MOD CUT] We will be looking to rent at first, I'm concerned on finding a home that will allow 4 mini dachsunds as they are part of our family. time frame depends on my wife healing from surgeries and disability settlement for her. I am looking forward to getting away from the road rage in reno and would move tomorrow if I could.
