I'm graduating college next spring with a degree in Environmental Science and I have a huge love, interest, and knowledge in Fisheries. I have a some expierience in this field from work but lots of expierience from fishing and personal knowledge, but I am open to any entry level position anywhere. Are there any Fishery Consulting Companies/Firms that you know of that might take a risk on a fresh out of college student?
Thanks!

I think pretty much all of the fisheries management is through the Idaho Department of Fish and Game.

The tribes also have hatcheries. I'm not sure how they feel about hiring non-natives but it's worth a shot. I know the Nez Perce tribe has a hatchery outside of Orofino somewhere. Good luck!

No, I haven't been there although I've driven by a time or two. I assume they hire non-natives, but I'm also quite positive that, all things being equal, they'll hire a native befor they'll hire outside the tribe. We see plenty of non-tribal people working in the casinos so I'm pretty sure they're somewhat flexible.
