balto charlie is on a distinguished road
Thanks for all the new info. Tickets have been purchased and we fly into Spokane in Sept. The Moon book has arrived as well as the Delorme Atlas and Hiking in Idaho. I read them religiously. I think we shall head from Spokane to CDA, up to Sandpoint, down to Kellogg/Wallace, over to Missoula then down 93 towards Salmon/North Fork, Stanley, Boise then up towards Cascade/Riggins(shoot up hwy 12), Moscow and back towards Spokane. Along the way we hope to see the Sawtooths, Frank Church Wilderness, Hells Canyon, Salmon Payette and Snake rivers(you got a lot ).

PW72: 2 weeks ain't enough time for what we want to see

Idahomama: Stanley!!! enjoy, I think the Sawtooths are the most scenic mnts in the US. I would love to buy a cabin in that area but really out of my league.

nettles: thanks for the hot springs info. A must for this trip. I hope to drive at least part of Hwy 12 if not all.

Shades of ID: Thanks for the offer. I will pose it to the wife. We tend to camp and shy away from indoors but after 10-12 days who knows. I want to check out Cambridge.
Charlie
