i read that idaho is a great place to live, nice people, low crime-somehow i must move there-whats the warmest areas?the cheapest places ro buy house, old shack,rv lot?something.any jobs for a 45 yr old white woman there?crime and scum has taken over the south!
Lewiston offers the warmest weather year-round in Idaho. However, it is a relatively small town (less than 80K in the Lewiston/Clarkston metro), and jobs are not any more or less plentiful than the rest of the state.
Lewiston is warmer than Boise all year? Or just has an average higher temperature. As a lifelong Boise resident, I always thought Boise was in Idaho's "banana belt", and was the warmest area of the state. We have mild winters and hot summers.
But housing is more expensive here than in most other places in the state (other than a few places, like Sun Valley).
According to weather.com, they are pretty close. Lewiston: Jan. 39/28, July 88-59; Boise Jan. 37-24, July 89/60. I guess I will give it slightly to Lewiston for those extra two degrees in January!
sounds nice its 100 degrees already around here-i looked up taking a train to boise id-it said it takes 48 hrs+!!!!i wont be comming by train if i even get there!,lol

One thing you need to know about Lewiston is it is in the bottom of a hole where a couple of canyons converge. There is a pulp mill there that used to create real smelly smog conditions much of the year, but I don't know if the mill is still in operation or not. Lewiston was a major logging town through most of it's history.
